Assistente Convidado da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa (FMUL), e investigador do Instituto de Saúde Ambiental (ISAMB) e do Instituto de Medicina Preventiva e Saúde Pública (IMPSP), ambos da FMUL. Coordena o Laboratório de Comportamentos de Saúde Ambiental (EnviHeB Lab), do ISAMB-FMUL. Integra a equipa de cirurgia bariátrica do Hospital da Cruz Vermelha e o corpo clínico do Hospital Monsanto – Unidade Psiquiátrica e Residencial. Tem liderado diversos projetos científicos, muitos deles a nível internacional, em diferentes áreas da epidemiologia, saúde pública, saúde ambiental e psicologia da saúde. Tem trabalhado em diversos projetos nas áreas da saúde mental, psicologia clínica e da saúde, saúde pública e saúde ambiental. Tem cerca de 100 publicações científicas relevantes, algumas das quais em revistas de elevado fator de impacto (e.g., Lancet, eLife e BMC Geriatrics). Vencedor do Prémio Científico Universidade de Lisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos 2022 na área da Psicologia.

Invited Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL), and researcher at the Institute of Environmental Health (ISAMB) and the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health (IMPSP), both at FMUL. He coordinates the Laboratory of Environmental Health Behaviors (EnviHeB Lab), at ISAMB-FMUL. He is part of the bariatric surgery team at Hospital da Cruz Vermelha and the clinical staff at Hospital Monsanto – Psychiatric and Residential Unit. He has led several scientific projects, many of them at an international level, in different areas of epidemiology, public health, environmental health and health psychology. He has worked on several projects in the areas of mental health, clinical and health psychology, public health and environmental health. He has around 100 relevant scientific publications, some of which are in high impact journals (e.g., Lancet, eLife and BMC Geriatrics). Winner of the 2022 University of Lisbon/Caixa Geral de Depósitos Scientific Prize in the field of Psychology.
