Luís Bronze é Oficial General da Marinha Portuguesa e o atual Presidente da Junta Médica de Revisão da Armada. Investigador integrado do Centro de Investigação e Desenvolvimento do Instituto Universitário Militar (CIDIUM).

Natural de Azeitão, o comodoro médico naval da Marinha Portuguesa é cardiologista com o grau de consultor da carreira médica hospitalar. Doutorado em Medicina/Cardiologia pela Faculdade de Ciências Médicas, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, é professor auxiliar e coordenador do Bloco Cardiocirculatório do Mestrado Integrado de Medicina da Universidade da Beira Interior.

No passado, foi cardiologista do Hospital da Marinha, subdiretor do Centro de Medicina Naval, Base Naval do Alfeite, e responsável pela Secção de Cardiologia da referida instituição. Foi igualmente chefe de serviço de Cardiologia do Hospital das Forças Armadas/Polo de Lisboa, diretor do referido polo e, por inerência, subdiretor daquele grupo hospitalar militar, que inclui um polo em Lisboa e outro no Porto. Foi o Diretor de Saúde da Marinha Portuguesa até dezembro de 2021 e presidente da Sociedade Portuguesa de Hipertensão entre 2021 e 2023.



Luís Bronze is General Officer of the Portuguese Navy and the current President of the Medical Review Board of the Navy. Integrated researcher at the Research and Development Center of the Military University Institute (CIDIUM).

Born in Azeitão, the Commodore Naval Physician of the Portuguese Navy is a cardiologist with the degree of consultant in the hospital medical career. Doctorate in Medicine / Cardiology from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, he is assistant professor and coordinator of the Cardiocirculatory Block of the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine at the University of Beira Interior.

In the past, he was a cardiologist at the Hospital da Marinha, sub-director of the Center for Naval Medicine, Alfeite Naval Base, and responsible for the Cardiology Section of that institution. He was also head of the Cardiology service at the Hospital das Forças Armadas / Lisbon Hub, director of the said hub and, inherently, sub-director of that military hospital group, which includes a hub in Lisbon and another in Porto. He was the Director of Health of the Portuguese Navy until December 2021 and President of the Portuguese Society of Hypertension between 2021 and 2023.
